Took a photo of our daughters fish tank, especially the white fish with the orange bubbly head display. I could have done without my reflection with iPad and fingers, but never mind.
At this moment the sun is shining and all Is calm, last night there was more rain more wind and more flooding we are very fortunate high up and on a hill but the devastation is quite unbelievable in the whole of Cumbria
weather up here in Cumbria not good, rivers just cant take the volume of water. I had to take my car for its service to Kendal, fine when I set off but when it started to rain it was unbelievable. A one hour journey took me two visibility was zero and still cars passed me at a rate of knots it didn't surprise me to see them stopped in flooded road .car can stay in garage till weather improves.
Glad you're ok and posting some lovely pics little-ann
I was a bit worried the pic of the burn ( or should that be beck?) was in your garden....
Seriously though - what hellish problems flooding causes
It was wonderful seeing so many positive people on the news this morning telling us 'Cumbria is open for business'. I've spent many happy weeks in the Lake District and hope to go back next year at some point. I hope local businesses don't suffer too much - so many of them rely on this time of year for a lot of their annual income. You're a tough bunch of people though little-ann - you'll all bounce back, and your beautiful landscape will be returned to normal
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
