Morning all. There have been huge storms in France too. We were on a storm alert, but the storms were further north. Trees down, hailstone damage, powercuts etc.
Waiting for horse foot trimmer for my retired one and my daughter's two, one of hers is retired as well, 26, arthritis. My little mare has shoes so has the farrier.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning, hope we can all make the most of the sunshine today (sorry if you've not got any - I'm sure we can share).
Missed a lot yesterday on here, only managed to skim read.
No idea what Chicky's up to but hope its fun and work are understanding (?)
Kef - how's the GH going?
Clari's sent a CV off and I'm still dragging my feet... (aiming for non existent perfection maybe )
Panda's having a lie in on a work day and Diasies up far too early on a non work day - what on earth is going on?
The childminder I sent some plants to (shes just starting her garden), has returned the favour and given me some 'bridal bush' - not sure if it's the exochordia or spirea. Only about a foot round and high in her garden and has been there years. Any ideas or do you need a pic of the leaves?
Good luck to your niece Verd, and enjoy your fatty sugary delight.
Even if it IS 'snowbound' I'll need to call it the bride as she knows it as that.
Got a new idea/project, want to make the old tree into a 'living wall', oh eck I hear you groan. In fact I'll just stick some planters in-between the broken branches and cover over (to disguise) with something fancy, wood, sticks, hessian. Think I'd like tall grass or bamboo for height (but would need to be ok in a pot) and maybe the new 'bride' as well. May prove a problem with weight if the tree is still going to crumble further.
