Morning all. Just caught up properly from last night.
Fidget, that's awful,mi hope your dad has improved again today and that you get the answers you want/need/deserve ((Hugs))
Verdun, same for you, hope your mum has improved and that you also get the answers you want....I'll send a cake for you because I think you would rather have a cake
Liri, I, the path is fab
Lily, definitely crazy ironing at midnight.....although that makes me crazy too because I've been known to do it
Well, I'm off to SM to get essential tomato chutney ingredients.
Busy day for me, so have a lovely day everyone whether at salt mines or not. Xx
Sometimes if I find I have things on my mind it helps to just get rid of them before bed by doing a bit of ironing, I actually find it quite calming (does that make me even more weird?? )
Nice toms KEF, do the St Pierre taste 'Greek'? I might have to sneak a look at some seeds when the boys are busy Dave's are lovely too, mine lasted about 10 minutes.....just got eaten like sweets by me and little man!!
Morning all. Not a very good night for me. I was too hot, threw off duvet, found a sheet. Then there was a big storm, cooled down, too cold. The trip switch had tripped which meant electricity had turned off. Now all the timers are wrong and the DVD machine will be back to 1st January. Water heater might have turned off.
Ate too much cake yesterday. OH gave a talk to local English, tea and cake afterwards. All weight lost from tummy bug is now back on
Going to see Dordogne Damsel this afternoon.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning all. No work for me today and it's a dreich wet day so h****work beckons I think, and no doubt some time spent on here.
Those Daves look great KEF. Nice size
Been trying to catch up on here but it's impossible. I'll just send virtual love and hugs to Fidget for her Dad and Verdun for his Mum. I've had very little experience of hospitals compared to many (thankfully) and on the whole, I can't praise staff highly enough, but no matter where we live there will be good and bad - often in the same one. My Dad was almost totally deaf and had dreadful treatment once from a member of staff in the Hearing Clinic, who seemed to think that just because he was deaf it meant he was also stupid
Stand your ground and get the answers you need.
Of for a look round before I get on with something. Have a good day everyone.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Good morning folks Popping in on OH's laptop again - normal service will not be resumed until Tues or Wed. We have loads of family stuff this weekend including BIL's big birthday bash and then hopefully will meet up with Nut and Artjak on Sunday. Don't suppose the rest of you will see much of me on here until Monday.
So similar to what happened to Pa 5 years ago, but they were the ones responsible for him being so ill in the first place as one of their consultants had given him the wrong mix of medication and put him in a coma for his 90th birthday! My employers gave me compassionate leave and I took up residence in the ward, jumped up and down, shouted, researched contra-indications of the meds he was on, recorded the warning re the meds given to the consultant by the junior doctor and his reply (all in my hearing) and I emailed all and sundry with a chronology of events and eventually got him taken off the L. Pathway and treated properly to flush out the medication from his system - he's still with us with all his marbles, but has been incredibly weak and fragile ever since .
However Ma, as next of kin, wouldn't allow any further action
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Fidget, sorry about the distress, but glad your dad isnt as bad as they said x
Verdun, hope you get things sorted, have cake after you have given the hosp what for
So scary that the people we depend on to make us better can get it so wrong, however feel very fortunate to have a free health service.
OL, your post about your eldest made me laugh! You have reached that age when you start saying things your own parents said- "you treat this house like a hotel"
BM, sorry i nodded off early! I was on the sofa the other night because we had a row, not the first time or the last- just one of those couples! Hope you are ok
SGL, i must have missed your hydrangea pic the other day, really like the combo with the montbretia
Lesley, when do you go home? Is your mom recovering? And is your dad getting around now? Hope everything gets back to normal soon
BL and DD hope you have a good day meeting up
Sorry, i know ive missed people, i just cant remember anything else!
