What a lovely family, Fritillary. My 4 children, spouses and 8 grandchildren were all with me for Christmas. I've got photos, but not a lovely group one like that. I married at 21, he died, heart attack when he was 53, I was 47, but some of you know that already. But I was very lucky and found my 2nd OH about 10 years later.
You are very talented Perki. Have you ever made lasting sculptures? Pottery?

Hi thanks for the generous comment on my snow gargoyle / grotesque . Never done grass sculptures I bet they need quite a bit of maintenance. Never done any pottery either but I do have a model railway which I never get round to doing. I have been keen on doing some topiary with yew through.
Surprised how many people got married in there late teens - early 20s, I am 24 now and have no intentions what so ever getting married let alone have children . Quite a few people I went school with have had children but I don't think to many have got married.
