Hi Lesley, so glad your Mum and Dad are getting better. Sorry to hear tho that other members of your family are poorly too. Runnybeak is right look after yourself too, don't get run down and poorly yourself. Best wishes and hugs x
Glad you had a nice time with DD today Lizzie - I'm sure you will keep in touch. You can encourage her to have a garden open day next year
Thanks Runnybeak - it's just been a rollercoaster lately. However things should level out for a while and I'll regain my sanity Probably spoke too soon there
Lesley - thinking of you. So much harder when they're not nearby - whole different ballgame. You can only do your best. Very frustrating for you though. You can always have a right good moan here
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thanks lily and Fairy. I have been lucky compared to the experiences of Fidget, Dove, yourself Fairy and Verdun and probably many more. The distance is a hurdle but you get to meet nice people like OL She's probably got he head in a suitcase at the moment
The main problem at the moment is that they will not accept that they need to get some help. Great neighbours have mown the lawn and taken Mum shopping but there is a limit to how far their goodwill stretches as none are particularly young themselves Still - time will tell - I'll keep chipping away.
Back to gardening - I would love to mix the soil here with mine and vice versa. Mine is heavy clay and theirs is sandy loam. I get waterlogged - they can't water enough.
Lesley - we had the same problem with Dad. So independent. When he set the panic alarm off accidentally and I went round but couldn't get in...that's when he finally realised he had to stop locking the doors on the inside with security bolts...
Glad you've made some headway Verd
No shortage of rain here today....

Well what a carry on for a lot of you. Do us gardener's cultivate ill parents ? That was a joke and I hope I don't offend..I have my share so joking is my way of stress relief. Mine isn't as bad as some problems some are having. Big hugs to you all.
Today was a "day off from Mum". I've re-coated my potting bench, and painted my staging so I will moving into my new GH tomoz
Doing some ironing for Mum & then the phone call.. We don't have a smiley with a noose
Council haven't emptied her recycling bins..yet again..I will deffo take complaints action this time the burgular alarm company didn't come on time to test her alarm they were half hour late, mega problem and pharmacy hasn't rung about her repeat prescription and she isn't ringing them !! That will really help Lily if the offer is still open I'll bring her by Tardis in 10 mins and she can bring her own cream cakes
Happy talk, happy talk Think it's Friday and vino time

Verdun I'm pleased you got some action

My last Friday night of freedom before the Guides are back

Sorry Verdun - missed you because I'm a very slow typer
Used to be a secretary you know - but before they made fast keyboards
Really hope you get to the bottom of your Mum's problems. They should listen to your concerns - it should be in the job description.
