Wow, a storm of biblical proportions has just hit. I was walking from the greenhouse back to the main garden, about 50 yards, and I now need a change of clothes. I think that might be the gardening done for the day.

Didnt manage to get the washing in, so OH will not be pleased.

Pdoc, soz I forgot to ask if you were any better image

It's come very black here, I've just been neighbour's to close GH and then do ours and move some of my plants to give a bit of protection. Have taken a pic of my fully open delphinium as I imagine it's going to get battered. image

Hope all who have to go out or drive in it stay safe.

Your Storm is just hitting Rother Valley Way PunkDoc.

Maybe it'll hit a power line and we can all go home early!

Doesn't look like it does it KEF image Oh well - I've plenty of other jobs to do, du*ting, ir*ning and such like image )

I hope we get some dry weather so that I can finish off digging up the area for the chicken run - I managed five wheel barrows full (about a third of the way) but its just a muddy mess now. Once the land is prepared I can start "encouraging" (its not nagging!) the run he promised he'd build before he gets distracted with the greenhouse foundations, the helping me sort out the vegetable plot, the timbers to finish off the pond, the ripping up the path so he can get electricity / internet to his ManShed...

... Oh and decorating the house which might have to wait until next year now! image

You can do the decorating in the winter Clari.  Summer is for gardening (and sailing.......tricky....)

Clari If you don't decorate until next year, the date it'll need re-doing is a year further away!

That's what my builder said in March  when he booked us in for next January image
