Well done Panda for keeping the smile going.  Hope it's not made your cheeks acheimage  We had rain here all morning but the sun is trying to peek out now and then.  As you see people are arguing about who sent rain to who and whenimage

OH and I have been in and out like yo-yos, getting washing in and putting it out again then getting it in again.  I'm blaming Verdun image

I've also popped all my tomato plants back into the mini-greenhouse 'cos we've got some heavy rain forecast tomorrow and I won't be here to look after them.

The under-gardener will be here, but he's got his painting head on this week image

My potted rosemary bush (about 18" tall ad 4 yrs old) has been looking odd recently - half of it went all floppy and then began to die.  The other half is fine.  I was worried that there might be some vine weevil grubs in there so, with a great deal of effort I extracted it from its pot - no weevils, but it was obvious that it was a plant of two halves - and one half was dead - I got my knife out and cut the dead half off and repotted the living half in a fresh pot of fresh compost and grit.  Fingers crossed!!!

I've got some cuttings on the go, but they're nothing like big enough to give me all the rosemary I need for all the rosemary potatoes and porchetta I'll be cooking this year.  I might have to keep my eyes open for a bargain rosemary plant!

It can go on the list I'm making for the GC trip on Thursday - I've got a money off voucher!!!

Does anyone here know a good chicken type forum? My continuing education is starting to run dry. I'm currently thinking of one Milliefleur Pekin, one Lavender Pekin, and two Gold Partridge Pekins (the farm we'd be getting them from said they'd be fine mixed up together) but I'd like to start digging into them a little more in case one has terrorist type quirks! (I've been told the Lavenders like cuddles which is not something I thought I'd hear about hens!)

Dove - you can never have enough rosemary! I need to take cuttings off mine (is it August you do it?) To start boosting my stock as I get so nervous about taking off too much from my little pot by the kitchen door.

(As you can tell I'm really very motivated at my desk today!!)

Hi all. Its been looking like we might have a storm all day, dark ominous clouds, but as yet no rain.

Have moved the succulents outside, and they are looking good in amongst the other pots.

This years seed dahlias have also been potted into large pots. It will be interesting to see what colours they turn out to be. Bishops Children, so all have darl leaves. Could be nice.

Main Dahlias are still fairly small, so wont be ready to plant out for a couple of weeks.

Still moving Cannas around in the hot bed, I tell myself I am trying to get the right look, but I think I am just too lazy to dig the big holes to put them in.

    See you later.

How can you lie there and think of England

First off Clari, I once joined a website about keeping chickens, planned on living in Greece but didn't come to happen. So I think I googled keeping chicken in Greece. Won't help with UK but plenty of info' and members all over world. Soz I'm no more help. Newsletter by email each month.

Sun came out at 1pm in at 1.10pm etc...so have been hoeing and doing & filling re-cycling with weeds that I don't compost, fleece on and off all afternoon.

Verdun Mum has a flamingo it has grown too big but new growth lower is lovely so that gets a severe cut down ASAP.

Dove I'm sure you'll get your rosemary growing.

Panda, don't Panda's like brollies ?  I don't but I don't get wet fur image Glad today been okay, it will only continue to get better or Auntie KEF will have to pay a visitimage

Fidget imageimage Soz you rained off but grin from me cos brugmansia now has two pods. Keeping OH away in case he thinks they are okra image

OH has been sneaky today I didn't know about secret stash of toffee from my Mum..apparantly for him  !!  He didn't think I would risk my teeth.image

However just as he was hiding a piece in his cheek I showed him what we'd caught in a beer trap as I was re-filling them image He didn't eat anymore image

    See you all later image

Hi Pdoc I'm not sure but I might have a flower head / stalk. Perhaps hallucinating.
