Going back to "inheritence" I think in a lot of cases it is a joke saying. From work I learned that many don't have anything to leave & some hard workers die leaving next to nothing, not even money for their funerals. I always take that expression as a joke. My Gran told me when I was pre-school about some lovely bright cups & saucers I could have when she died. My parents were appalled when I proudly told them. Bless her she lived long enough to break the lot
My parents loaned us money to modernise this wreck when we bought it, one precent less than bank rate. We are from Yorkshire. Loved them to bits, so we could do what we wanted, when we wanted without a B/soc on our backs.
Was going to post about my day & new plants but I've hogged thread enough.
Someone had thrown themselves under a train at Wimbledon, so everything out of Waterloo was a complete mess. I try not to get too angry, because it is such a tragic situation, and in the grand scheme of things a long journey home pales into insignificance. Sobering really.
Oh dear Chicky - that's so sad - I was on a train once when that happened - a bit grim for the passengers- but not as grim as for the driver and the ticket collector who I happened to meet later - I really don't know how they cope with it.
Go on Verdun - go and get it - you know you will

Evening peeps it's getting windy here.... Chicky I gey really angry when people throw themselves in front of trains Im not going to air my opinion incase I offend someone anyway I have been asked by an old chap (92) on the street to help him this weekend to plant bulbs. He has a nice garden that is going a little to ruin and I started helping him over the summer. He ha 80 bulbs that need planting and wondered if I could help cause he can't bend. Can't wait I asked if I could take some cuttings he said he's happy so hurrah!!!!
