There was a time when I wore 3" heels for work, and then huge platforms and maternity smocks - now I seem to have someone else's feet and they don't fit in the sort of shoes I used to wear image

Anyway, Crocs are fine for gardening, on the days when I wear any shoes at all image

I got the front lawn mowed this morning before it started drizzling - it's looking quite good except for the holes where I had to dig out huge clumps of hawkweed - but hopefully a little topsoil and some seed will sort them out.

I'm visiting my daughter tomorrow and taking a load of plants for the residents of the Mencap bungalow where she works - she's getting them all keen on growing their own food so tomato and courgette plants are top of the list, and some herbs.  I'm going to get them packed in boxes today in case it's tipping down when I leave tomorrow.

I love my crocs and my croc flip flops, I live in them in the summer (bright pink ones!) although I'm under strict instructions not to go 'out' in them from my boys!!  Sometimes I do...just to wind them up image

All this talk of ladies and their shoes - I live in steel capped boots and trainers! In fact my OH has more shoes than me but that's because he has four pairs of trainers in comparison to my mere three.

Impatiently waiting for lunch time and wishing I'd brought more food with me today. Miss swallowed one of my peppermint oil tablets and every time I breathe in its like I'm inhaling ice! Hoping to drown it with food as drowning it in drink makes things worse.

Hope the weather is nice this weekend - will be mostly home alone and have big plans with a pot of paint!

Just in for a quick lunch. Choked on my sarnie when daughter showed me this pic. Just google 'obese, midget giraffe'. It's photo shopped but it'll make you laugh imageimageimage

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Verdun - your rain's come here - I'm sending it back image

We were just eating lunch in the dining room when we saw a butterfly on the window - I went out to have a proper look - it was a Comma - not seen one in this garden before image

You're supposed to send the rain back to verdun, not send it in this direction.image

I spent part of this morning on my hands and knees picking up hellebore seed that the plant decided to drop overnight. I've bagged the other seed heads.

I was hoping to get the runners in this afternoon but I suspect rain will stop everything.
