Hi all, sods law isnt it, first dry day and i have been doing chores. Apparently it should be dry here for the weekend, so hopefully will be out there hacking through the jungle.
Good news is that the wine tanker visited today, so should be ok. for a few more weeks.
Think I probably failed to mention my birthday cake, did not want you lot stealing it. It was made by a colleague of OHs. It was chocolate and stem ginger, 2 of my favourite things, and had a dark chocolate covering and dark chocolate ganache.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
They do seem to be female, pics below, but the courgettes seem to be growing ok? I didn't realise either that the flowers close in the evening, that must explain why today was the first time I'd seen them open because I haven't been out when it's been bright enough all week.
My bridesmaid dress arrived today, it is beautiful, can't wait to wear it in the big day
Right, dog walking time, dinner and wine with my new book that I've got to start.
Hi All. Hope you've had a good day. The weather has been brill today garden show was great. Only bought one plant (money runs out after parking, entry, drink and snack!!) it was Heuchera Lime Marmalade. OH reminded me we have Heuchera Blackberry Jam and Hosta Orange Marmalade. We also have poached egg plant in the garden. Can you tell where this is going?
Any plant with toast or bacon in the name? (sorry, don't do tomatoes) and you can all come for a slap up breakfast. Now - are these mushrooms or toadstools she ponders
Home at last! late due to other people's incompetences! Had slow cooker on, OHs job was to do some potatoes - OK chips from chip shop will do! Just not my day!
Gotta sit and recover before taking the weekend by the horns!
MrsG - sorry to hear your day was c***. OH's can't always be trusted without a minute by minute list. Chip shop chips are great, If I can come to yours you can come to mine for breakfast
OL - glad you are happy with bridesmaids dress. (I had to wear an awful one for the one and only time). You must post pics.
Punkdoc - Chocolate gingers are my favourite treat so I only allow them at Christmas. Never thought of cake
Evening all - sorry some had trying days ..... but the weekend starts here
Just back from my minibreak in Norfolk. Fitted in a trip to Norwich (great wildflower roundabouts in the city centre) for a spot of shopping and a tour round the Uni for chicklet. And also my longed for walk along Hunstanton beach ... a very special place. 5 minutes from the carpark and we lost all the people - the ones in the photo are my nearest and dearest
