My little robin is sitting on the door handle of the conservertory, looking at  me for his food............its August......bit earlyimage

  • Good morning all, I seem to be getting later everyday. could get used to it - OH & Sproglet back tomorrow so don't think I will get chance. image Oops that ought to image hurray they are back tomorrow. image

Missed BBC last nite, went for last look around the garden, next thing I knew it was dark, my rose is now free of bindweed though. Don't panic BL is only one out of countless others.Bet I have more BW than you still!

I really, really want a companion seat, have one in my wish list on Amazon, OH not convinced, but still working on him, want a bistro set and a swingy thing too - he says what's wrong with white plastic chairs left by previous owner? image

Off to tidy up now, seem to have left a trail of dried mud around the kitchen and downstairs loo - would kill sproglet if he did that - double standards . image

lily that's sweet - I used to feed all year round but some experts say that's not good as birds stop fending for themselves ...who knows what's right image

Not sure my days are going to be too leisurely OL - I have a load of wood coming soon...good weather forecast for today and tomorrow so ideal for putting in fence posts and that sort of thing. I don't think I could do retirement very easily  - I'd spend too much time faffing about on here and procrastinating. In fact I'd probably even put off procrastinating...image

I have special painting clothes but I'm guilty of going out in other clothes and thinking 'it'll be fine - I won't get any on me just doing that little bit'... image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Morning all.

Going shopping. Not clothes image, groceries and food or dog will be hungry. I thought this week was free to garden but it isn't anymore. Going to son's tomorrow to look after his baby. To give them a break, baby cries when not being held which is getting quite difficult. I'm afraid I let my babies cry longer then they went to sleep.

Sympathies, BL.  My daughter's second baby is very similar - she has severe reflux which means she's very uncomfortable lying down.  Has your son/partner got a sling to put the baby in?  They seem to love being close to someone and cuddled in an upright position - mum is best of course, but even gran can work sometimes!  image  And of course, the adult can then get on with stuff and have some peace & quiet for a bit.  You're a star going & helping!  I'm sure they'll all feel better and more relaxed as a result.

ps I let mine cry longer too...  image

DIL has him in a sling when she does housework, but she wants to sit at her computer because she's going back to work soon.

The complicated thing about babies is that they are all different with their own personalities and they don't always behave how you thought they would!
