Just been reading back a few pages...  been doing Useful Jobs before going on here, otherwise I find it's suddenly got to lunch time & I haven't done the shopping so there's no food, image  and OH looks at me pathetically (why can't HE decide what we're eating, for a change?  image)

SGL and Fairy, think the current recommendation is to carry on feeding your birds all year if possible, to keep them going if the weather suddenly takes a turn for the worse.  But I spend more on bird food than the total expense (including vet's bills) for my 2 cats...  Help!  How do I stop??

BL, think you've hit the nail on the head - babies are complicated!  Wish there was a Haynes manual ("bit of a stink?  Check nappy...") for new mums.  And for out-of-practice grans, like me!  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
