Cranes fly over my house every spring and autumn, they make a hell of a racket. They were early this year, end of February, also higher than usual so photo not very good.

I'm further south than you but I've had my cosmos outside for a few days now hardening off so hopefully they'll be okay. Heavy rain now so might have to wait 'til tomorrow before they get planted out.
Lovely photo of the cranes BL. It was the noise that alerted me to them as I'd never heard anything like it before.

Its meant to be raining here and I do wish it would get on with it while I'm at work!
