Fg - there's a threat of thundery showers around Bressingham this afternoon - if you could wave your wand that'd be much appreciated - don't want anything to deter us from icecream eating ................ err, that'll be looking at and photographing plants
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Oh good morning KEF and Chicky Have a lovely time at Chelsea Chicky - I love Cleve West's garden and think that's my favourite for Best in Show (although not keen on the fountain - I think I could've designed something more in keeping - he's a friend of a friend, so I'll pass that on )
I know the Telegraph one is very cool and elegant etc, but isn't the show called the Chelsea Flower Show???

I'm going to have to start charging for this wand waving....
Cool and elegant - that's me....
I love slightly more masculine design - not a flowery girl. Simple, structural and peaceful.
I really like Cleve West's designs but the one a few years ago with the fallen pillar. That bit didn't look right although the rest of the garden was beautiful.
Is it just me - but I thought the afternoon 'show' was dire. I recorded it and watched virtually none - fast forwarded constantly
Probably just me...
Have a lovely day there chick - I'd have a panic attack with all those crowds!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Already very warm in the garden - means the office will be toasty but we must work to earn money for all these chicken and picket fence plans! I'm thinking white but imagine partner will have already made his mind up.
Fairy, saw bits of Chelsea the 6?/7? ish on bbc1 and following one on bbc2. The first one had some weird photography which was off putting. Will try the pm prog today but think it will be the later bbc2 one that I prefer. Agree with dove on the telegraph garden, prefer flowers. But if starting the show from scratch it would be called Chelsea garden show as times move on, definately gardens are now about much more than flowers, no mention even of veg! For me though, lots of flowers carefully planted beside some understated features.
Morning all Had quite a but of rain here overnight, put lots of buckets out to collect extra rain water before bed so I'm off to see how full they are in a minute. I didn't sleep very well last night, head buzzing with everything that needs doing now in the garden/GH and wondering how I'll fit it in, I will write a to-do list today.
Have a lovely day at Bressingham everyone and enjoy Chelsea Chicky, one day I will get there but for now I think I will be making do with Southport in August.....better than nothing
