Mr Dove made a fantastic chicken jalfrezi and pilau rice - he used Bhaji man spice kits - Bhaji man lives nearby and they've just started stocking them at the farm shop - he challenged OH to cook me a curry and he did the first one a fortnight ago and really enjoyed it (he's never enjoyed cooking before) and the other day announced he was going to cook another! I'm not complaining The packs contain all the spices in little packets and the instructions are so clear about what to add and when and how to prep everything, even an OH can do it! He's got to report back to Bhaji man how he got on - he'd been given clear instructions - even about lighting candles!!!

Dove I think even Bhaji man would give up on my OH. I do recall in the dim & distant past a bacon sandwich being made think it was around 1988. He can do toast I don't know if I'd want him in the kitchen other than as dish washer. Glad you enjoyed being cooked for.
Morning all. I dozed off last night so I didn't hear KEF coming in...are you sure it was the hedgehogs and not KEF making all the noise Dove?
Is there any curry left...never quite got round to dinner last night
Big black clouds coming from the north west - as forecast. May have to be doing indoor painting today and s'market shopping. Nothing super about it as far as I'm concerned. Sowed some more lettuce and rocket yesterday evening and some other things I found. I chucked a massive snail more than 65 feet earlier - let's see if it survives the traffic in a bid to get back
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Mor ning everyone, what a beautiful sunny morning.
Washing on and a quick wizz round with the hoover will be done after brekkie then out in the garden to catch up on potting up.
Will be making the most of todays weather as the forecast for the rest of the week is rain and thunder storms!!I
Sounds like you had a nice evening Dove, nice to be cooked for, candles too My OH does the cooking sometimes, but seems use an awful lot of 'stuff' preparing!
Good morning Verdun - absolutely glorious here too I've had to wake OH up to prepare him for mowing the lawns once the time of day becomes more civilised!
Then we have to plan to re-jig the garden a bit - we need more raised beds to enlarge the veg patch.
A breakfast of Spicy mumbled eggs (leftover curry and scrambled eggs) will be taken on the terrace - how many am I cooking for and how may coffees and who takes tea?

Glorious here too (soz Fairy) - FiL came yesterday to watch the footie - seems he had decided to stay the night, but didn't let anyone else in on the secret - so some rather frantic last minute bed making was required ( the spare room was being used to dry a tent).
Planted out most of the cuttings i took last autumn - penstemmon, agastache and phlox, to bulk up the clumps that i already have. And uprooted another zillion oak saplings......
Tea for me Dove - same as chick - and nice and strong. I'll skip the eggs though - had my porridge
Hey - it's just over ten degrees and not chucking it down chicky- that counts as a good day here at this time of year Did FIL not just sleep in the tent?
Might plant some of my new plants today if weather and other stuff permits. Mulching round all the hedge needing done too. Looks a good site Verd - I ordered a couple of things yesterday from Jackson's nursery so will see what they're like when they arrive.
Should go and get myself organised now. Have a good day all
