Hi Folks,  Sorry you are ill Clari my daughter swears by vitamin C and Zinc and then something thats supposed to shorten the symptoms but I cant remember it. Is is Echinacea or is that for bruises, no Echinacea is definitely for colds and flu.

Hi David, I know Salt well and have often been to the Hollybush.  I used to work at Wolseley Bridge and as part of my job travelled all over Staffordshire.  Its a very beautiful county, the north especially.

Have you ever been to The Ramblers, its a restaurant/coffee shop, I think if I remember right its near to Cheadle but I might be totally wrong. Used to pop in there on my way to Alton Towers.

Ive moved the last of my plants today and despite being at the totally wrong time of the year they have all survived and most have carried on flowering as if nothing has happened.  Had to cut the rose back so missed the second flush but I can live with that.  Much happier with the shape of the border and the colour scheme.  I just have to plant the bulbs when they arrive.  Didnt take any photos in the spring to Im having to visualise what it will look like so may have to add a few things then.

Just watching about 10 starlings all trying to squash in the bird bath for a wash.  They really are the most noisy and argumentative birds.  They are clinging on the bird feeders for dear life while the sparrows dive bomb them hoping to move them on.

First born is coming this afternoon and staying tonight with grandaughters so suspect I wont have much time to chat but may try and pop back on this evening.

Bye for now, Im off to have a quick look round before they arrive.

Hi Bekkie, The top section is a mixture of oranges, yellows, copper colours with the odd white and blue plant for accent.  The bottom section is varying shades of pink and white.   I never really minded all the colours being mixed until I read that blasted garden design book and now its started to annoy me.  Ive also graduated the sizes a bit better as some things sort of stood out like a sore thumb.  Ill take some photos when I get a minute. Its still not perfect but its getting there.

Echinacea is definitely for colds Yvie, it's Arnica for bruises.....I've been using both image

Arnica is amazing isnt it, i had a little op a few years ago and was told by the doc to take arnica before and after, i had barely a bruise and healed very quickly. Really should get some cream, got a bruise on each foot from the pedals on the spin bike! image
