Not sure, bekkie.....I mostly seem to find a lamb shank in front of me when I call.
Morning all. I've succumbed to what actually may be real flu! Running a temperature that is leaving my t shirt sweaty wet yet I'm freezing, aching, dizzy, keeping the Andrex puppy in business with all the snot I'm producing. So long as I lay here and try not to move too much I can almost still breath.
I honestly think if you put a £50 note on the floor in front of me I'd not be able to pick it up.
Supplementing lemsip with honey and apple cider in hot water. Do anyone know of any magical cures?
Oh Clari - rest, rest and more rest, lots of water to drink, lie on the sofa with rubbish telly on so that you can go to sleep and a hot toddy at bed time.
If you've got the energy to do it safely, put some steaming hot water in a bowl with a couple of drops of Olbas oil - put a bathtowel over your head and inhale deeply.
And rest, rest and more rest.
((virtual hugs only)) I've got a social life happening this weekend
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks Dove. Rest - to be honest a trip to the kitchen for a drink is knackering I'd get a thermos flask if that didn't involve bending down. I don't even have the energy to browse Amazon or the RHS website for ideas!
Its a friends wedding on Saturday. Partner is the best man I'm scared silly in case he catches it. It would be an annoyance if I were to miss part of the wedding celebrations but the start of a full bridezilla tantrum if he's not there all of the time!
Your OH is a wise man Dove, unfortunately mine works in a hospital and fequently brings home gifts of the viral kind!
Clari, the only thing you can do other than rest is to look after yourself, lots to drink, vitamins if you have them, stop fighting, let your body sort it out. If it is flu you should start to feel better soon
Clarington, I really hope you feel better soon. Lots of Day/night nurse and echinacea is what I use....although I'm probably not the best advert LOL! As others have said, I think the best thing to do is rest, snuggle up in bed and just sleep it off, I always think your body heals quicker when sleeping. No kissing and cuddling until after Saturday Seriously though, sending hugs and really hope you are better soon, I've only had proper flu (not man flu!) twice and it was awful.... {{hugs}}.
David K, a typo made you call Bekkie Bikkie, but actually I think that quite suits her so may have to start calling her Bikkie all the time
