Went to Bressingham about 15 years ago and loved it .... Its where i discovered my passion for phloximage

  • Haven't been to Bressingham in more than 30 years. Loved the island beds but I also remember heathers and conifers which are decidedly out of fashion?

I think it's time to reintroduce the heather/conifer island bed in 'suburbia'.

It would look good with a crazy paving patio and a wishing well...image

Actually friends of my mum had exactly that in their garden image

Rained here when I got home from work so I did other necessary stuff image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I wish I could go. It looks wonderful. I use to order plants from them and Beth Chatto years ago when I lived in Kent.

We will be going to England, travelling west in June, past Malvern to Shropshire, then back to Eastbourne, where we have a pied à terre.

Have planted out 4 troughs and 2 pots, gazanias, lobelias, begonia Dragon Wing, and verbenas, but not all together.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

When I moved into this place, I went to Bressingham. i couldn't fit another 3 inch plant pot into my car on the way home.

I also had a lot of plants mail order from them. I see that one of the younger generation has now started Bressingham plants, selling plants direct again.Bressingham Garden centres were taken over by a group.

I would be interested in a trip too.

Dad has been sent out of hospital today. I think he was too much aggro for the nurses. He is currently holding court, telling everyone how ill he is/was. He's not happy that I've banned him from driving for some weeks. This was after I found 3 months worth of medication he had not taken hidden in the kitchen cupboard.

    New regime about to start.!!!!
