Evening all, its lovely to see the subtle change occuring on this thread as Spring approaches. We are all starting to talk about plants again.
Have had a good day sorting out the now un-flooded greenhouse. I have potted on lots of cuttings and seedlings from Summer and Autumn. I was supposed to tidy it all up as well, but when it comes to tidying up, I usually find something else pressing to do. Today I suddenly developed this burning desire to watch some of the Olympics.
Right better go and start cooking tea.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I think I rememember Fairy saying she likes yellow flowers, and spikey ones. Love bold red and orange anytime , as well as soft blues and lilacs.
Must remember to look for my box of resting cannas tomorrow - think OH may have thrown them out Yesterday I noticed red lobelia leaves making an appearance, and red robins on the photinia!
Right - time to let the fish join the others in the tank - see you later...
Fidgetbones, the aquilegias should be fine, they are pretty hardy, but I imagine yours are babies.
Been doing gardening chores and sowing more seeds today, bedding plants. Nice day, sunny. Also cleared out a neglected cold frame which was full of weeds, changed the sand in it and OH has made a new polycarbonate lid as it was broken.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Had to Google that MrsGarden, impressive, but I'm not mad keen on yellow. Do have a yellow tree peony but that was given.
Hi Lily, don't mention bun.
Funny you should say that KEF, I don't normally like yellow either, but in winter and early spring I don't mind. Odd aren't we?
Ok, I see the C word (ooops) is now banned. Anyone for sweet pastries?
I think yellow is a Spring colour. . It cheers me up after Winter.
Those first tete a tetes are wonderful. I have a few hundred of those as well.
MrsG, it's gorgeous - but according to this it might be a bit tender where you are

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Glad you've had a rain free one Pd. Anything nice on menu?
MrsGarden close your ears, fish here for meal.
Dove, MrsGarden seems to live in a little micro climate, chatting she hasn't even had boggy soil. If she wasn't listening I'd poke my tongue out
