One morning just before Christmas we had a pheasant, partridge, chicken and pigeon in the garden. We did consider a 4 bird roast.
I'm assuming that if there are an foxes around, they would be more than satisfied with all the pheasants - there are usually at least 3 sitting under our bird feeder every morning.
I was excited today when I checked out the cheap half coconut feeders I'd put in the 'quince' a week ago. Not only are the resident sparrows having a go at them we have a blue tit, yes a blue tit, nibbling more successfully than the sparrows! My excitement is that a bird other than a sparrow, dove or starling is eating something I have put out for them
Happy birthday GG. Only a quick one from me tonight as shattered and off for an early night.....and trying not to get wound up at people that feel the need to shoot animals needlessly
Chickens, love them. What about Coddle and Scramble
Thanks Lily, I was just so sad reading the news about someone shooting foxes and a giraffe and then come on one of my threads to find someone telling me to shoot magpies
