Lovely Dove - but where are the candles?  Could the  Fire Brigade not make it......image

Sorry art... I know you're only 27...or 28 like me image

I'll keep you a Yorkie archie...if eldest doesn't snaffle them all!

Crumpets now Verd...I don't know. You'll not be fit to take Spike for his walks at this rate, especially if you get a doughnut holder in that car.... image

Morning all, and have a happy one Artjakimageimage

Lovely here - planning a tidy up of the perennial stalks that have been flattened, and an assault on the brambles growing through some large deciduous azaleas.  Never manage to get rid of them (the brambles) completely, but i like to have them out of the way when the azalea flowers appear.

also, have just read i should be cutting back my group 3 clematis now - i normally wait til March - any views??

    Such optimism Verd image

I hope we don't get the cold late on though, like last year, to knock us back. image

My bargain polyanthus from last year have never stopped flowering, and there's a clump just jam packed with buds. I really want to get some native primulas for the back garden so may have to go to the nursery.

A bit dangerous just now though, when I have a building to pay for!

Hello forkers and happy birthday Artjak.

Sunny here and just in from  a couple of hours weeding. The soil is like a wet sponge, it is going to take a while to dry out.

Native primroses are lovely are'nt they. I was lucky enough to have a few here when we moved in 20 years ago. I divide them most years and now I have them everywhere, and they are just starting to flower.

    Enjoy your afternoons gardening everyone.

  • I've just been out there poking around seeing what's coming up - lots of tulips and crocuses, and the pots of hyacinths have flower buds peeping up - I've got some tiny native primroses that I sowed last year - just little tiny plants now but hopefully they'll flower next spring, and the sweet violets image  and the Fritillaria Imperialis are showing signs of life too  image  but it's too boggy to be doing much out there image  just walk around and get excited 'cos spring's coming image
