Hello Lily Hope work was ok. Can't wait for it to open and I'll post a pic of my latest achievement......I've never managed to keep a Clematis alive before
Hi OL, work not too bad today, thank you. With a few people leaving these last couple of weeks, ratbag is being eerily nice which i find worse than her usual mood....plus too little too late...........and of course false.
That's good Lily Well good that it's bearable for you but not good it's too late and false
I can't wait for pics either.
Someone has mentioned Passiflora tonight, that's on my wish list too, I had one when I moved in this house but managed to kill it (no idea how!!!) but would love another.
I understand biennials take 2 years to flower, but dies that include this year i.e. if you sow seeds now they grow leaves etc this year and then flower next year? Is that right? Can biennials sometimes be perennials too with the right conditions? Sorry if those are really thick questions but not a group of plants I have given much thought to until this week. I was also wondering when it start sowing perennial seeds?
Well, it's not raining .... but it has been and it will be The pond is almost overflowing - when I drove past the watermeadows yesterday they were flooded at the time of year when they should be cut for hay! However, my delphinium is just bursting into bloom, so I suppose it's only to be expected that we will get strong winds and torrential gales.
Mind you, this week last year we were down in Cornwall, and it was the first week of sunshine we'd had since the previous summer! That spring had been so long and cold - do you remember how far behind everything was last year?
OL, answers to your questions are, 1)Yes, 2)Sort of sometimes although it's actually sometimes the other way around, and 3)Now

Evening all. Cold and wet tonight, so no slug hunting for me. Have lost 3 lupins to the b*****ds this year.
Meatballs and pasta for tea and now drinking a nice malt whisky to warm myself up.
Tomorrow will be even wetter, so time to start sowing the biennials I think.
Enjoy the rest of your nights.
