After church we went to friends for a BBQ, there were 16 of us, lots of food, wine (but it was my turn to drive so went steady) and chatter. Enjoyed it. Came home and it was 7pm already (French time). Watered all the pots.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hope your salad thing went down well Lizzieimage.

Funny how Fidget and Yvie so nearly metimageimage.  Fidget obviously left the snorkel at home today thoughimage.

Had a lazy day here - some deadheading but nothing else.  Still picking bunches of sweetpeas - they seem to have had a good long season this year.  First Autumn raspberries are yumimage - never grown them before.  And about another day or so and all the Victoria plums will be ready (at onceimage).  One of those days to wander and enjoy, rather than graftimage

Lzzie - I remembered you were making a salad thingy because one of the Chicklets once came home from school cookery with a request to provide the ingredients for a tabuleh (?) salad image.  Took much searching down the supermarket aisles that week for me to be able to oblige.  Who knew tabuleh  was a rice thing ?? I spent hours looking for something green in the fruit and veg sectionimage.  In my day school cookery was about making inedible bread rolls and scrambled eggimage
