After church we went to friends for a BBQ, there were 16 of us, lots of food, wine (but it was my turn to drive so went steady) and chatter. Enjoyed it. Came home and it was 7pm already (French time). Watered all the pots.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Funny how Fidget and Yvie so nearly met. Fidget obviously left the snorkel at home today though.
Had a lazy day here - some deadheading but nothing else. Still picking bunches of sweetpeas - they seem to have had a good long season this year. First Autumn raspberries are yum - never grown them before. And about another day or so and all the Victoria plums will be ready (at once). One of those days to wander and enjoy, rather than graft
Hello everyone Just one question........who stole summer?? (Verdun? ). It's been miserable, grey, very windy and rainy on and off all day, not a happy bunny this weather is pants!!
Sounds like most of you have had lovely days and some busy garden days and busy drinking days
Happy early birthday Panda, wouldn't it be great if the baby pandas were actually born on your birthday
Right, I know it's not dark yet but I'm going to put my snuggly Jim jams on!! Not done anything exciting today I'm afraid
Snuggly jim jams sound good to me OL. Fidget yes it is lovely having Ashwoods close by but its also expensive. I never seem to go without buying something. Friend arrived now for coffee and chat so catch up later.
Lzzie - I remembered you were making a salad thingy because one of the Chicklets once came home from school cookery with a request to provide the ingredients for a tabuleh (?) salad . Took much searching down the supermarket aisles that week for me to be able to oblige. Who knew tabuleh was a rice thing ?? I spent hours looking for something green in the fruit and veg section. In my day school cookery was about making inedible bread rolls and scrambled egg

There was a little bit of salad thing left so we will eat it soon. It was a lovely warm day, but getting chilly now.
More apples falling off the tree.....there will be none left to ripen at this rate
