Still quite dark here too  lily, even though we're supposed to have the light longer.  Working all day today I think - more hours now which is what I'm needing.

Morning all. 6C damp and miserable here, raining earlier so I stayed in bed, will have to check myself for pressures sores, as I went to bed at 9pm.

Morning everyone, quick check in before I head off out to work for the day, off to Manchester and traffic isn't looking good image

Damp and miserable here and I have a snowflake for Friday, been there all week (sometimes it changes it's mind) so maybe, just maybe we might get a bit of snow if the sea air doesn't see it off!!

Talking about getting lighter, although the mornings are still very dark, I did notice last night it wasn't properly dark until about 5pm and only 60 Days until BST, bring it on imageimage

Have a good day everyone. T

Morning KEF! Yes Tom-Dave arrived safely thanks ever so much! I've only had a quick look at the others as last night was jobs night and darling partner had the grumps so kept frowning heavily at any suggestion of my opening up the internet rather than paying attention to his sulks.

I'm going to keep an eye on the weather and play it by ear. I did think going for mid / end of February and putting heating into the greenhouse to keep it frost free should the weather change (I'll germinate them on the windowsill in the kitchen) but since one of the ideals behind growing my own is to reduce carbon emissions caused the air miles etc.it doesn't seem quite right to then be burning the likes of propane!

Hello forkers, no need to tell what todays weather is like!

I have been organising my seeds as I thought it was something positive to do and, would cheer me up. I seem to have done it again though, far too many seeds. I would require a 30 bed mansion to have enough window sills to have enough room for them all. So now the difficult decision of which not to sow.

    Morning all.

Very windy and rainy last night. Some of the wooden fence posts have rotted and are only held up by the electric ribbon, so my job today is bashing in fence posts in the wet and the mud before the horses get out. Won't be a fun day.
