We have a gas hob (phew) as the camping equipment that would work (trangia/Kelly kettle) are at my parents Would recommend the Kelly Kettle for quick heating of water. Doesn't take much fuel, just whatever is burnable
I've got a rangemaster cooker, part gas, part electric. But the gas won't come thro' if the electric is off. I'll just have to use the microwave, Maybe I'll make a flask of tea just in case..I am joking.
I have some old metal coat hangers, so if I make a triangle and put them over an open fire I can make toast & drink cold water. How did they manage without my wisdom in the war? Plus I don't have an open fire.
Rain lashing down now. Generator at the ready ( we have about 6 power cuts a year and decided to get ourselves sorted). Feeling a bit nervous (lots of trees here). Trying to decide if another glass of wine would help
