Just in from the garden.Yesterdays fire rekindled and work for today planned.

    1) clear small area overgrown with nettles and self seeded Poplars.

    2) dig trench for runner beans and fill with well rotted horse manure and compost.

    3) make raised bed in woodland garden for Erythroniums and Pulmonaria, purchased Tuesday at Beth Chattos.

I've just evicted a very large bumble bee from the living room. A wren is working around the bulbs in pots. Mrs mallard seems to have left the drake on the nest. They are now coming one at a time for a feed, and then heading back towards the canal/river. Blackbirds are gathering material for nests.Snowdrops are fading, but the daffodils are taking over. Its certainly Spring here, even if the temperature has reverted to normal for this time of year.

Good afternoon. Very windy here, but dry, rain due later today.

Thanks you for all kind wishes about Mum, she's a lot better today. I diagnosed the "funny turn" late last night during a chat !!

Seems that nothing to eat since previous teatime, due to feeling a "bit" sickly and then 2hrs in SM at 2pm the following day, makes you weak, dithery and confused. image  A good meal & company for the night and now fine. She's lucky she doesn't have a sore neck. image

Just home for some lunch and having a quick look round. Glad Mum's fine KEF image

I'm surprised there's no ducks in my back garden right now fidget. Somewhat pond-like at the moment image

Front grass is getting longer by the minute - it'll be a while before it gets cut though! image

    Just caught up on posts.

Hope your sister continues to well Lily & yes cream cakes, mini cheddars & choc finger bisuits were on the list. Funny they don't make her feel sickly. Thing is she has a dread of being sick. I should have cottoned on after I got her home and a cuppa & snack made her feel better, but she didn't mention sickly until last night otherwise I'd have know straight away what had been wrong with her.

Fairy hope your garden dries out some time soon.
