You are right about Agapanthus being bullies. About 14 years ago I planted up a large glazed pot with a bag of 6 lily bulbs and 1 agapanthus. The latter has now all but overwhelmed the lilies, and occupies the whole pot. There are 2 poor excuses for lilies this year. Strangely the lilies were susceptible to lily beetles but not the agapanthus in the same pot.

KEF- I think I might have your rain. Its bucketing it down at the moment. Yet - no watering tonight!!!!

Garden girl and woody- we always go past Ringwood in excess on our way to Bournemouth. Will defo make sure we pop in next time!!!
