MrsGarden there is an obvious solution. Just stick the top on and say that's the best way to make it grow then stick it in a corner out of the way and hope everyone forgets about it. Very unfair I know but you won't have to smell it anymore. Perhaps you could buy some cress seeds and do a swop

OK, help needed, son just brought this in from child minders. OH says cress. Stinks. What am I supposed to do with it? Really stinks!!!!
If it stinks that bad it's probably rotting. Sown far too thickly and overwatered. Sow some more with son this weekend.
