I wonder if mine is still lurking under the soil! Might have a dig around to see if I can find anything. I love the idea of planting a white one with a dark purple leaf Heuchera.

That sounds nice . . . mine had to fight their way through a forest of geraniums that have gone rather bonkers in my sunny border image

Hello janetclaire, nice to meet you.

Has poured today, cold, only 9°, ridiculous for May in the Dordogne. Roses are battered.

Have cleaned dining room. Did I say 2 sons and wives and 2 grandchildren (one is the new baby, he'll have Mummy's milk) are coming to lunch on Sunday? It's French Mother's Day.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Have been meaning to ask, are there some types of hellebore that 'die back' or has one of my new ones this year 'died'  The leaves have gone a funny yellw/brown colour but the stems still look ok at the mo image

    Happy French Mother's day Lizzie.

Panda I still have flowers on my hellibores don't know if I should cut them down when they've finished or leave them image  Help please for us hellibore newbies image

If I hadn't seen it I would be doubtful. Father blackbird who is a very dutiful parent has been out gathering for his kids, big mouthful of worms, put them on patio on wall and proceeded to pull one out from between patio stones, about 3 inch long, it fought back, then pecked it into bits and taken it off with the rest of the supper.

Glad I'd already eaten the spaghetti bol image

Nice to see some responsible parenting though KEF...image When I came home yesterday I had to avoid a squirrel carrying one of it's babies in it's mouth and going into the woods next to the road image

Daffs will take a fair bit of wet lily but this winter may have been a bridge too far for them.

Feeling a bit sad after seeing the news here. The beautiful and iconic Rennie Mackintosh School of Art has been destroyed in a  fire.  image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Evening folks, especially Janetclaire (mind if I call you JC?)

All this talk of dicentras or whatever they want to be called, made me rush out for a photo of mine, lovely light green leaves, nearly over now though.

You lot are like' a tin o mabs!' (used this phrase at work today, no one knew what it meant).

    It's HOLIDAY TIME !!!!!  imageimageimageimageimageimage

Fairy I saw that on the news very sad that something that valuable and important has been destroyed. image

Talking about news I see that you lot from Leic's image hugs really, have now got our Richard's bones. All I can say is the colours of the rainbow will always say Richard Of York, Gave Battle In Vain. image

Maybe a tad biased as my Dad as a young choir boy sang in York minster & I occasionally visit there.

Have a great evening all image

Soz lily & hellebores, not Panda.
