Lucky you, could do with an Albert as well, glad you're being well looked after.

Haven't done a bl***y thing all day except hang up the washing, even though the sun was out. Intend to mow the grass/weeds tomorrow if it stays nice, has been too wet recently, clogs up the mower.

    great not graet.

  • imageLove pasta, one of my favs. Not a lover of red wine tho so would have to be white or poss a good rose. Shame we can't do sound effects!  Hannibal Lecter  slurp slurp slurp! !!

  • This morning it was chucking it down, now its absolutely beautiful.  The different colours of the leaves with the raindrops glistening in the sunshine.  What a lovely sight

I'm hoping to do the same SwissSue. Been chucking it down but the wind seems to have dried everything up quite well today, and the forecast is looking good for tomorrow image

It has absolutely tipped down since my last post, hope the garden doesn't drown.

Like all wine, but not if it's very dry. Like pasta, like most things but not fat, gristle, kidneys or egg whites.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Evening all.

Too busy this morning to log on. However I've got an evening free as my school is closed tomorrow because of the teachers strike. It means I can get my marking actually up to date- it's like h****word. As soon as you've finished there is more waiting to be done.

It's only just gone six but already darkening. How depressing when the clocks go back at the end of the month image.

Well havea good evening everyone- I think I will fall asleep in front of the TV very soon

Got home before dark for the first time in ages.  Sun was shining so took advantage and got out in the garden.  Planted out my chinodoxa and my asters, and potted up lots of rooted cuttings in the greenhouse.  First bit of gardening i have managed for nearly 3 weeks - so now I feel very satisfied.  Weather forecast says it is now going to rain forever, so that will settle them in nicely.

Bev - I have a daughter off tomorrow too because of the strike.  Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere on the news - was beginning to think she might have dreamt it up!

  • Good news Matt - with the dark nights approaching you can get some stuff done in the garden while you're off.  I'm now limited to a few minutes after I get home from work so have to squeeze it all in at the weekends.  150 crocus to go in my new raised beds this weekend - I think I'll just keep sticking a handful of fingers & thumb in the soil and pushing the bulbs in the holes - at least they'll get planted in groups of 5 and planting things in odd numbers is supposed to look best! image

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
  • So Brumbell,--- Albert is away,  and you have a yummy cake, so either you have cheated and bought it or ---- its a picture from a recipe book!!! imageimage
