I went next door and found the two holly bushes which were on the old photo. They are now trees with a trunk of about 15inches diameter. The owner of the land is lovely. We have enjoyed having the wild wood/ disused orchard next door for the last 20 years. I have added a few buddlejes and species roses grown from seed, and the wildlife has been pretty undisturbed. The builder says his mate the digger driver is a bit of an animal as regards getting up early. The "garden is now a level space with a bank of soil 3 ft high surrounding the space.
Morning all..... Wow what a glorious day we had yesterday.... Sadly no garden time though..... I checked my hellibore seedlings and to my horror something has munched about 4 of the leaves off grrrrr so I have moved them to a slug free prison lol in a clear plastic storage box with a lid.... Checked then this morning and no munched leaves..... Bit concerned about my second clematis purchase the Florida siaboldii apparently it's not the easiest and so far I am reading conflicting things on wether it's a type 1 or type 3 clematis...... Family are all suffering a minging cold at the mo so I'm substituting coffee with lemsip!! Laters peeps
Morning everyone, no outdoor time for me and like most comments I agree we could do with a longer weekend, I personally think Monday should be part of the weekend......who likes Mondays anyway!!!! Have a good week, only 5 days to go until next weekend!!!

I feel a bit of guerrilla gardening coming on.
Have a good week everyone!
Morning all - how were the weekend's labours Clari? And how was London Dove? And where has Fairy flitted off to now ?
Fidget - hope the clearance now stops and some garden creating now begins. It would be nice if they added as many new trees as they have removed
Could do with another couple of days of weekend - two days of sunshine have been very welcome here, but not very helpful on the HW front
Morning Chicky and Clari and the snoozers
Bit frosty out, only our second I've noticed this winter!
i could do with more days in my weekend too Chicky. Maybe we should start a campaign
Hope we all have a good day, I'm off to get dressed and start my working week
