I got a line of washing just about dry and then the heavens opened and we had lightning, thunder and hail all afternoon!!! I just hope my figs are ok.
It's only drizzling now so I've been out to fill the hedgehog dishes and I've seen that my clematis HF Young is beginning to open - it has absolutely huge blooms - I hope the weather picks up so they don't get bashed about.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
KEF, did you build the coldframe all by yourself Not sure I like the size of those ladders
Clari, the scary thing wasn't there last time I went, can't remember what you called it. Sounds like fun, memory cells not functioning, I'll have to look back on posts, think you said they aren't putting it on anymore, shame
OL , hope LBM does well in his exam tomorrow, think it might be the same as my s.son's, science.
Good weekend here although wind was whipping my broad beans about - good old bamboo canes soon sorted that. LOs were helping to plant out peas whilst trampling my flowering Aquilegias.
Quick pop in, ace new cold frame LOL, is ramshackle last minute pallet staging from GH. Only beans & courgettes & Cosmos getting toughened up. Daren't risk O/S toms "Dave " as we are due a quiet night, or storm, rain & pestilence, deepends on which forecast we look at
Lily, me up at big ladder Scared on a pier.
OH has just about removed tree short of a chain saw which he isn't having
Clari glad head feels better
Best go Poirot calling.
Hope all sleep well. Forgot to say soaked feet in a bowl just before meal and then tipped it all over carpet so I'm popular
