Morning all. Only 5° with 13° forecast. In the past it has been in the late 20s in May and one year my mother got a heat rash. It was cold last year too.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I just wrote rather a serious medical sort of item about cannabis an deleted it, too serious. But was trying to think of something to say. Only recently got out of bed!

Morning All A couple of heavy showers here already this morning but sun trying to stay out at the moment, I'm working though so it doesn't matter really
MrsGarden, I definitely think that autumn sowing is the way to go now, I didn't realise you had solved the seedling puzzle....I must have missed that
Good luck to OL's biggest man in his biology - hope lots of plant questions come up - he must have absorbed some of the plant knowledge flying round the house by osmosis
Dove, sounds like your Ma had a lucky escape! Still, a clever way for the chap to do his cultivation. Round here they tend to grow it in the roofs of the dodgy houses
Hello folks - my we must all have been busy - no chatting on here for six hours!!!
I've been to see my Aged Ps, who were fine
On the way back I pulled in at a roadside stall selling plants - lots of lovely and unusual things - I bought some Dianella Cassa Blue - the leaves are just the right colour for the front garden and the leaf-shape will give some textural contrast near the verbascum and a new hosta I've just bought I didn't mean to buy more plants, but after the roadside stall I called in at a new little nursery for some seed & cutting compost, and they'd got this huge H. Hadspen Blue for £5.99 and a Geum Rivale 'Flames of Passion' (totally inappropriate name for such a delicate plant but there you go) for £3.99 - and it would've been rude not to wouldn't it?
Give me a minute and I'll post some pics ........
