Topbird, Flatters is now giving the catcave a second road test I wish we could have him in the house like your boy but Harrie our other cat is a very timid and disfunctional rescue moggy that is terrified of everything!
Flatters is very much a boy and likes his independence and I don't think he would enjoy being an indoor cat. The shed is the size of two double garages so its quite a pad he has, and he has a secret girlfriend that visits known as Sl**gy tabby that sneaks in and eats his food and curls up with him when I'm not looking!
Also he keeps rats out if the garden despite bird food so he's very important
Doesn't look as though the Colin Prior programme is available at the moment Fairy - would have been good to see.
Perhaps you'd be kind enough to give me the heads up if you notice any promising Scottish walking / mountain / landscape photography programmes on BBC Scotland? - they are right at the end of my TV guide (no 912 or something similar on SKY) so I often miss what's on up there - must try to remember to look more often myself Quite often look at BBC Alba - kind of hoping Gaelic might be learned by osmosis & they often have some decent music on there.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
My boy was a farm / rescue kitten so was not used to people at all. He's now 13 and still doesn't like visitors (very affectionate with us though). The only 'strangers' with whom he will sit in the same room is a friend who's not keen on cats (so makes no attempt to stroke or talk to him) and my mother in law. Couldn't work out why she'd been singled out for favouritism until I saw her sneaking him little bits of cake!!

Glad that Hostas are okay first thing I heard on the news this morning
Been going Googling and trying to decide about a new mobile phone, mine is a v. old Nokia no internet. I quite like Microsoft/ Nokia Lumia 640 has anyone got one? Also this facetime thingy is that app only for Apple phones?
Curry tonight as it is Saturday, might not be the best thing for me but at least I should be able to taste it.
Family were due to visit mum today but they have lurge, they can't blame me as I haven't seen them since before Chrimbo.
Yes FaceTime is a piece of software that runs (as far as I know) only on Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, iMacs) and both users need to be using Apple devices.
It's essentially the same as SKYPE but the advantage of SKYPE is that you can put it on almost all devices - Apple included.
We have Apple stuff but use SKYPE because our families have PC's and Windows and android phones.

Evening all. If anyone needs feeding there's five lasagnes, six portions of chilli con carne, and a tray of hot sausage rolls...
I got a little carried away cooking dinner this evening. Still at least it means the freezer will be full for lazy evenings when cooking is rather too much hassle. (The sausage rolls might not see the night through).
Unfortunately I haven't the space to make the doughnuts I originally went into the kitchen to make!
Partner has gone out so the hound and I are cuddling up with a film (and some sausage rolls).
KEF: unless your family are apple users and more importantly are beautiful so you want to see their face when you talk to them by phone there is no advantage to having an over priced Apple.
I've a Samsung (S6) : have had Samsungs for years as they seem to cope well with my clumsiness and have a battery life of an entire day (Apples are prone to lasting 8 hours).

Wonky - sounds like a 5 star hotel for Flatters.
