Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Oh yes I remember, how can I forget... still have most of what has been mentioned up in our loft. Not only due to our own brood but also down to the fact that I have worked in childcare for the past 27 yrs AND ( more to the point) just can't part with any of them or with all the happy memories that they hold.

My girls both preferred my teddy when they were younger, although youngest fairylet was also very attached to one of those Anne Geddes (?) teddies with the human faces - (slightly creepy!)  Hers was a ladybird image  She still has my teddy in bed with her and she's 18 image

RB - the 'hole and rabbit' - that is  so cruel image

    That's really cute BL image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • DD, have you seen the last one of .....And then there were none yet?

Awww RB, that's sad.......but as you say a little amusing too.

Ooh, just popped in for a moment and found I've started something with mention of Sticklebricks...  image

Afraid OH and I have teddies too.  You can tell them anything and they're not in the least judgemental.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

I can't think of any special toys i had, but we were very much outside kids - playing hide and seek etc. I do remember getting a pair flippers (for swimming) which I prized highly. It meant I could shoot quickly across the local rock pool - faster than my friends .image

Hmm, good point. Was I being a bit too explicit?  I do remember that Mum tried to hide them until Christmas and I found where she had hidden them - behind her glory chest - but kids are good at that sort of thing.  Nowadays, my grandson gets a Playstation so that he can spend hours sitting on his rump and wriggling his fingers instead of his feet.image How times change.

Hubby has just informed me that his favourite toy was a rabbit trap and he has a photo somewhere - eek!  vicious terrible things. They are banned nowadays, I think.

    Evening all.

Hope you are all well, and that last nights little "set to" is behind us.

The forum needs all of its friends, to make it work.

Peaceful day here, rained solidly, so nothing done today.
