Clarington, your pond can't be worse than the photolab I ordered for work. It was to go upstairs in a designated area. The suppliers said they had a stair walker to get it in. Guess what, it was too wide for the stairs. The delivery van was outside on double yellow lines. We ended up taking out a window and ordering a crane and craning it in, then boarding up the window after. It stopped traffic in the town for about two hours and made the front page of the local paper. They say there's no such thing as bad publicity...
Good morning all I'm back from my walk and the skies are brightening. I surprised a couple of blackbirds who obviously aren't used to walkers at 7am on a Sunday - I could also smell that a fox had been along that path not long before me.
Clari - I'm trying to find the perfect spot for a wildlife pool in our small back garden so am watching you with interest - but I can promise you from my experiences in the past, it will look smaller once it's in and settled.

Morning Dove, you're up with the lark, or should I say the blackbirds. Brrrrrr, bit too cold here to go for a walk. very thick frost, (no rain!!) and a beautiful red sky, which only means one thing, its going to be horrible again soon
House work for me today and a bit of washing. Brekkie first and a nice cup of tea .
Good morning Lily There's something strange going on with the weather - no red glow in the east this morning, but it's glowing pink in the west
Enjoy your h**sew**k It's a nice feeling when it's all done isn't it? I noticed last night that OH has cleaned/dusted all the wooden blinds - isn't he great (I will not feel guilty for not having done them myself - I've only been retired a little while )

Clari - he says his parents brought him up to know that if something needed doing he shouldn't expect other people to do it - his lovely Dad worked from home and his lovely Mum went out to work, and he had two older sisters who were both tomboys so there was no gender-division of labour at home. I picked very well second time round at least

Clari, I've never had an intentional pond, but have the makings of one on the lawn.
Lily HW on the day of rest ? Saying that I'll need to do some when Christmas tree comes down.
Dove well done keeping on with the walking, I thought you'd put wooden birds, more tea needed me thinks.
