The goose is in the oven, stuffed with chestnut stuffing. Herby sausagemeat stuffing is made for the guinea fowl. Veggies are ready. Friends are doing starter and pud.
Have a lovely day all.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Yes fairly warm Flumpy. Trouble is that opening the windows isnt comfortable - wind and insects sneaking through the fly screen . its now dark 9.30pm) so the lights attract the little b...s. We solved Edds puzzle - wi u. Means wee ewe. - very small lamb. Well I can't claim to be the one to work it out, but others did, if you can read back.
Hey I wasn't far off then, I thought it was a goat : ), hope you get some nice cool breeze at some point Pat if not stick your head in the fridge to cool down ( only joking) pat, hope you got some nice presents, I've just opened all my presents : )
Hi Pat. Lovely photo, I'm wondering If the tree is Eucalyptus pauciflora? It looks very similar to mind although we are very lucky because ours only has three trunks that are still very good looking, I've seen some gnarly old sods in other gardens
Thank you jo for thinking about Flynn this morning, I do believe in sending good vibes in our cares and concerns, I would have posted an update yesterday but after SM at 8am, vets at 9, assisting OH until I had to go to work at 2pm and doing dinner when I got home for family and middle son's visit, I was a tiny bit exhausted
Talking about all things Christmasy, I got the best gift I could have wished for at work yesterday when my close work colleague told me her wonderful news that after being homeless through no fault of her own, and having been housed in a hostel for the last three months, she has been given a home by the council. It's only temporary for 18 months but I am so so relieved and overjoyed because l truly believe everyone should have a roof over their heads, and be safe and warm
I somehow missed Fairy's poem that I'm desperate to read so I'll look it up now in her previous posts now (if she doesn't mind me nosing )
I'm still waiting for one of my presents to arrive from UK, Flumpy. Not worried, it'll turn up eventually. Got a new address book for Christmas card addresses etc - people are beginning to fall off on the old one. Also, chocolates, of course, which I'm not supposed to eat because of type 2 diabetes, but I'll sneak one now and then.our son bought me a sort of bird feeder that gets attached to a window with a one way mirror so I can observe them without them seeing me. Not sure which window to put it on yet. Still thinking about it. trouble is that at the moment there is so much grass going to seed in the paddocks that I haven't been putting feed out for them. Don't want them to forget how to forage.
Jo47 that sounds yummy Your making me hungry already, I love Christmas Day You can eat and eat and eat and just relax or walk it off if the weather is fine.
I love spring time when all the Lambs are springing around the fields, how many sheep do you have Jo?
