As a Cornishman this is one of those very rare occasions when I'm glad to be elsewhere!
Did any of you see that great picture in yesterday's Daily Wail, of a surfer going down the river in Bude ( - he is passing my sister's solicitors office) - anybody who knows that part of town will realise how very high the water actually is.
Best wishes to Verdun and and everyone else living ( or holidaying ) in the far West - stay aware, and keep well clear of the coasts.
Good morning all Too wet and wild out there for walking, although a robin's singing away believing it's spring - I'm planning a visit to my Aged Ps this morning - II had a phone call yesterday evening to let me know that Ma had tried to drink a cup of hot tea whilst reclining in her chair and has scalded herself - not badly but red marks - Pa had pressed the emergency buzzer quickly and the staff rushed and dealt with things and will call the district nurse if they are concerned. I was going to visit on Friday but I'll go today, it'll give Ma something else to focus on - if she remembers what happened yesterday
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hope Ma is ok Dove - might be a blessing if she doesn't remember this time. Birds are going for it here too - do they know something we don't? Is spring really just around the corner?
Cheers Chicky Ma will probably tell me how she was rushed to hospital in an ambulance and has been there several days ..... that was the story after she had a visit from an OT for a moving and handling assessment
