Morning all, thing quiet here at the moment but forecast very bad. No flooding except for fields luckily. Heart goes out to those poor souls in cumbria. Preparing more sandbags today as tonite/tomorrow is set to be heavy rain and very high wind speeds, as ready as can be so here's hoping. Time for a coffee and read back.

Haven't seen the news this morning . I hope the flooding / rain isn't too bad.

Keep dry Bushman. Watch the knees when filling sandbags too.

Quite a bit later than intended - forgot to turn up the volume on my iPad so didn't hear the alarm going off.image

The cat finally woke me by head butting me & licking my ear to tell me that it was making weird buzzing noises. He's a good boy that one image

    Morning all, hi Patimage

The flooding is absolute hell for those affected.  My heart goes out to them.  Bushman, look after yourself.

Love the avatar Doveimage.  Good news re the knee Hostaimage.  DD don't ignore your body's rebellion - it will get better with a bit of relaxation.  As if you couldimage.

Fidget and all other sniffle sufferers I hope you have a very quick recovery.

Jo - thanks for the coffee (again) and it's a great time to plan for your 'rescue'.  I'm sure you can't waitimage

Fairy it's not great out here either.  The dog's having to cross her legs again for another 10 minutes or so.  She hates going out when it's wet and windy.  Thank goodness for the Christmas trees which give us a bit of light in the gloomimage.

Bushy I hope the rain proves not as heavy as they fear.

I've an emergency present out for delivery today (hope it arrives) and the (dairy free gluten free reduced sugar) stollen and carrot cake to make. Washing to do, walls in the hall way to sand down and hopefully get the first layer of base paint on.

All not helped by his lordship offering to make tea in bed this morning.  I've now been waiting 3/4 of an hour and am not sure how much longer I can wait for this romantic gesture.

Wintersong I'm glad Flynn is starting to feel better.

    Topbird good luck!!
