Hello again, not much gardening done but, a lot of looking around and planning and, I managed a cup of coffee outside without getting frost bite.
I must apologise in case I have upset anyone, but I am afraid I have risen to the bait and felt compelled to post on the thread with a similar name to this.
Nudrev I would love to hear more about your country !
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Clarington, Kef, and Punkdoc, do you think we could get up a yorks/east mids contingent to see the snowdrops at Hodsock priory? Anglesey Abbey is too far for me on a day trip.. I went a couple of years back and they were lovely. You will need wellies for tramping around the woodland bit. If no one else is interested, will take my mum next week and then post pictures.
I think they are on for all of February. The snowdrops for sale will be picked over by the end of Feb, but the ones in the woods are still flowering. Next weekend, I am going to Ashwood nursery in West midlands, so next weekend no good for me. I can go in the week as well, I havn't got much work on this month.
Has anyone grown primulas from seed before? Either native English primroses or drumstick ones? I'm thinking for a shady border so might be better with native ones? Alongside hellebores.
Hi folks, the member you mention was on my blocked list for a long time. Then I cleared the blocks, most of whom no longer post, now he's back on again. Much better that way.
We all know people like that in the real world. They don't get involved with much but sit on the edge waiting to wind up others.
Press the ignore button punkdoc, it works for me every time. There is no aggro on my forum
Fidget. I would be up for that. Week time is better for me, especially during the 6 Nations, but most times really.
Nut and Clari, I know you are right and the ignore button would stop me being irritated.
PoddingtonP, I grow some of the more unusual primulas from seed, they need to be sown fresh, I usually harvest when they are still green, I then sow and cover with layer of gravel, put the pot somewhere shady and forget about it till the following Spring. There are some exceptionally beautiful Primulas around, but I still think our own native variety is hard to beat and looks superb in a woodland setting or shady border. I think they would look great with some Hellebores. Have you considered our native Hellebore ?

Fidget, when are you thinking? I'm unfortunately busy for the next two weekends and I fear they might be over after that

Just what the rest of us were thinking.

There seems to be a lot of "silly" behaviour at the moment and you seem someone with your head most firmly screwed on.
I've just added my first member to the "blocked list". Anything for a peaceful life!
In other news.... whose hidden the biscuits??
