Oh Bushman - I hope any flooding is less than the last time.
Steve what a shame for your work neighbours. Not only have they lost their business but also their home.
Hosta I hooe your visit to the specialist went OK and there is a way to mend you
Hazel the iOS update seems to be OK. Nothing dreadful has happened........yet........... Verdun it does seem much better now and the screen is normal.
GWRS have a safe trip and a lovely time with your family at Christmas.
Jo I'm pleased to hear you now have gas and hope it won't be long before your fire arrives. You made me laugh about cooking the goose. It reminded me of the story my grandmother used to tell about the time she put the turkey in the oven to cook overnight and left a message for the last person to come in that night saying 'remember the turkey'. My Dad came in, saw the note, turned the oven on and went up to bed. Half an hour later his brother came in, saw the note and turned the oven off.
I changed my mind about the gammon when I came across another Nigella recipe for cooking it in ginger ale. Could be interesting and it's certainly smelling nice.
Afties all - just popped in for a nosey whilst having a cuppa - busy, busy, busy here
Mr C's first day back went well - apart from endless recounting of his "what happened to you then" tale. Means he can go back after the holidays with all of the hows ya father out of the way.
OMG Steve - so glad everyone was safe. I know that road well - I actually pass your vets every Monday evening on my way to Pilates .....in fact it made me smile wryly to see the headline that the road was closed ....that bl***dy road has been closed for some roadworks or another for the majority of 2015 !! Next time I swing by I will wave, now that I know you are there
Best I can say is hugs to poorly snotty peeps and those in pain.
Glad to read some good health news after worrying times for peeps.
Good about jollies and Christmas events.
Sad about tragedies & more flooding.
Soz if that sounds lame but I don't want to name some and miss others.
I'll keep looking in and posting at random ( used to be a space hopper in previous life ) but want to wish all my Forum mates a Merry Christmas and enjoy your day on the 25th greetings to all and
Hello folks - I'm back Ma's presents are under the tree at The Lovely Home and she's well and happy.
I've picked up our lobsters and they're sitting on frozen cold-blocks in the fridge., and I've got a big chunk of smoked haddock to make kedgeree for tonight's supper - it's one of OHs favourites and he's got a very busy week so deserves a bit of spoiling
Hope you get your heating sorted soon Jo - you must have friends in very high places to have arranged this wonderful mild spell
