I went to bed at 1am,very depressed. If the BBC news were making it all up, so were sky, CNN and the al jazeera news channel. No doubt it is all we will hear about for weeks, until the next atrocity takes over.
Am feeling confused and slightly numb this morning, like many others, I expect.
We are expecting severe rain, with possible flooding, so I am about to go and check that the stream is flowing freely, with no potential blockages.
Sorry to hear your news Chicky, I do hope things start to improve. I cannot imagine what it is like to be in your situation, with the person you love the most.

I don't know what the solution is to the troubles in the world today.There isn't any defence against someone with a vest full of explosives marching into a cinema, a packed train, a shopping centre, football stadium or a school. It's not possible for security forces to be everywhere all the time. We have to stand together or fall together. It's all we can do.

I just wish this government would stop encouraging/allowing separate 'faith' schools.
An education system which discriminates on the basis of wealth or class is bad enough - a system where children of different cultures and faiths are educated separately is a recipe for disaster - have we learned nothing from the experiences of Northern Ireland?

Too conflicted and frustrated to go into how I feel about the news, doesn't help that one of our main exports are weaponry and arms feel as a Brit, a total hypocrite and an arrogant dictator.....do nothing in my name!

Dove I'd go further and say "faith" has no place in education. It's state funded brainwashing IMHO.
