You ever been to Fraserburgh Fairy? Scary place and even i toil to understand them real Hector brocklebank country.

Think he'll have his work cut out with Novak Dove, but great to see him through. Would love to see his brother win too
Are your unmentionables mentionable again?
Glad you're ok B'man. I don't think I'll get a walk tomorrow unless it's a low level one
Around ten thousand with no leccy now. We take all that for granted here - not so funny when you're on an exposed island. I felt so sorry for the poor girl reporting from Saltcoats on tv this morning... although that's a place that could benefit from being battered by hurricane force winds. It's a s***hole
Unmentionables have been washed again and are draped on a rack around the radiator in the study.
I find it hard not to expect power cuts since living here - I'm used to being out in the middle of nowhere when every storm meant several hours minimum without power.
Runner up fee will buy the Murray baby a nice new pram - even at current ridiculous prices, I expect
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It's been a nice afternoon, I was able to get out and weed most of the lower middle bed and plant some daisies.
Log man has re-roofed the shed. OH had to prune a lot of the clematis Montana growing up the shed, but not a bad thing as it was getting a bit out of control.
Sausages and mash, peas, fried onions and gravy tonight.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I was about to complain about the bl***y weather At least we have electric even if the roof sounds like it will depart ...lets go fly a kite and send it soaring ...I always loved Mary Poppins
I think the winds have rather affected the dog: normally he sleeps all day while we're at work and then is sociable in the evening. Today however the moment I got home he fell asleep.... and he's still snoring away four hours later. Poor devil he probably thought the house was off to see the wonderful wizard of oz. I certainly wondered myself at times.
Partner has gone out for a chaps evening and all I have is the washing machine for company. I got a lovely letter from my bank today saying that my wages (paid by cheque and usually late this month by three days) bounced like a bouncy thing due to "the person who wrote the cheque doesn't have enough money in their bank account to pay the cheque....". Thank goodness I found out before Monday so I could do something about the standing orders and bills that are paid on the first of the month.

Glad you got shed roof fixed Lizzie.
Starting to rain and a bit windy too.
Off out to a quiz night soon, with a fish and chip supper. Yay, no cooking tonight!
Hope everyone has a good evening.
