Morning Lilyp, Fairy, Chicky, Panda and Pdoc, think this weather justifies a duvet day! not for me in Suffolk but think I'd stay indoors if I could with all that going on outside! Please take care everyone!
LilyP the noise of the wind puts me on edge too. We were woken by car alarms going off and the sound of the neighbour's greenhouse glass smashing. Sorry you've lost a tile Fairy - we have yet to inspect all round. Power's back on now but we've cancelled our trip into Edinburgh For lunch.
Lou I hope you manage to get through the day. I've heard that man flu is a terrible thing
Safe journey home Hosta.
Really enjoyed Springwatch last night too. The footage of the fox and golden eagle was amazing.
Weather not too bad here in Sussex at the mo, bit overcast and a slight breeze but late afternoon looks horrendous. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day
Safe journey home Hosta. Hope you manage a little break before hospital.......hols that is not broken anything .
It's all very well for you lot up there with roofs and tiles and greenhouses suffering in the storm ......................... there's serious stuff going on here in East Anglia ................. I just found a pair of my unmentionables blowing across the back lawn .......... they must've blown off the line yesterday, but where were they when I got the washing in yesterday afternoon - could a neighbour have found them and popped them back over the fence do you think

Hi all.
Gale getting up here, was woken by the sound of plastic pots blowing across the lawn.
Feel much more orientated this morning, don't feel like it is the middle of the night.
Hope all in Scotland stay safe.

Wonky - just keep your head out of the way of any flying roof tiles when you're going for that bus

Morning all. Not a breath of wind here, grey and gloomy.
Verdun, you obviously don't read back, talked about lack of PMs and avatars last night.
Think it will be a housework and ironing day for me too. The log cutting man is coming to repair the shed roof which was damaged in the last gales.
Hope Hosta has a good journey this time.
Good morning all , dry but very windy , day in doors me thinks , until this evening when going to a quiz in next villages hall
Yes , Winterwatch very good
