    Afternoon all.

Turned out sunny, so I have been trying to do some one armed tidying up. I had not appreciated how useless my other arm is. Trying to wield the secateurs one handed is proving very difficult.

Glad your OH is brighter chicky, his body has under gone a major shock, so it will take time. Hope he is more patient than I am.

  • Hi all,

Flying visit, just popped back in to ice the cake I made this morning - doing 'English Afternoon Tea' with my students this afternoon so have made Lavender biscuits, a Victoria sponge and a Fruit Tea Loaf, hope they like it. image Either way they will hopefully learn some adjectives, ideally, lovely, delicious and tastyimage

Chicky hope your OH carries on getting better, frustrating for him feeling ill I'm sure. Mine actually managed a bike ride this morning, not far but it's a start. image

Punkdoc, really feel for you, but think what WW said is spot on. Hold fast my friend. image

Right, have to dash, have a good afternoon all. image

Chicky and DD - keep those men under control (but not under your feet) - glad they're both feeling a bit better image

    Sweet dreams Pat image

Night Pal, Afternoon everyone else.  Started bright here this morning but now it's very gloomy.

Managed to get 90% of my bulbs in this morning and also potted on some pink forget me not.  A bit late with that I hope it flowers in the spring.  All but one of my sweet peas have germinated and some more blue poppies are apearing above the compost.

Went to see mum yesterday and she greeted me with a smile and says she feels much better.  The doctor has given her some antidepressants and they seem to be working already.  Lovely to see her back to her old self.

Going to have knee scanned this afternoon I'm really hoping they find something that can be put right rather than the usual wear and tear comment.

Hope your aches and pains are improving Hosta and that everyones colds are improving.

P'doc wise words indeed from Wonky, rise above it, hope your arm gets better soon.

Was it Pam who recently lost her dog? I'm sure he had a good life and that the new puppy has landed on his feet.

Hope afternoon tea is a success DD, save a slice of Victoria Sponge for me please, before Verdun gobbles up all the left overs, its one of my favourites.

Chicky, hubby was really miserable and impatient when he had heart surgery but is really well now.  Hope OH feels better soon.

I'm off now for a quick look round, sorry if I've missed anyone but my memory is rubbish.

Having a cheeky afternoon Pimms after finishing artexing the walls, flipping heck, that stuff gets everywhere

Popped to Tescos for milk, nanas and floor wipes, god I love wipes, no more smeggy clothes or hairy hands, but I did half get some looks buying 12 packets image

But I'm decorating I said, and I hate the dust image !!! Checkout lady was a little overwhelmed by my OCD

Hand cream every day this week,  builder's hair, and finding lumps of grab adhesive in unusual places such as up my sleeve!  How?

Oh well, it's starting to get there but still not at the tiling part yet. .. next week now since I'm working the weekend

Sounds like you're having fun Wintersong.  I'll be plastering from tomorrow if we get the forecast rain - just the fringe of the depression up north.  Hope there's no damage to houses or gardens!

Couldn't get going out there today - just did an hour or two on the essentials and was exhausted so retired to the sofa with a cup of tea and a chocolate waffleimage

    Afternoon all.

Glad Messrs Chicky and DD continue to imrove.

I'm now managing to sit without a pillow. Progress indeed.

Had a bit of a potter in tunnel .

Very windy now so have retreated indoors.

Are you dissing my special lights Edd? ...imageimage

Well, I'm home - it's none too clever out there right now. Been dark since half three with a sky so full of black clouds it looks like Mordor.  Everything secure outside - hopefully.

Glad I'm not in Ullapool tonight. Heading for No 11 on the Beaufort Scale there, so a dozen or so more mph and it's hurricane force rather than ' violent storm' - and that's at sea level.... image
