Morning all, grey and damp outside.

Punkdoc's holiday sounds lovely. Perhaps Wonky should borrow Hosta's OH to shout at the neighbours.

Can't chat, OH has an appointment with the bank, I need to translate for him.

Verdun, thanks for the memory? Many years ago  my quiet well behaved Squadron was sent to Falmouth Pendennis Castle to carry out a very important guard. There was a footpath across MOD land that had to be closed off to the public in case they claimed it for their own (as if they would). On the way in we saw for every two of my prime steaks drink all you can??? Now my lads were not known to hang back on free offers so leaving the guard to deal with the land grabbers we descended on the Hostelry. Many steaks and gallons of beer later we managed to get our vehicles back up to Pendennis point via "I think" front gardens playing fields and parks. We had to hold out against the hoards of locals for one week closing the foot path for one full day. A couple of nights later we went for more steak only to be told there was not enough beef or beer in Cornwall for anyone to repeat the offer, tight fisted lot we called them and those who had not been in on the offer wanted to shell the town, I managed to get them back in their cages just in time.

Great Memories of Cornwall and the people took my wife many times after that and left the Armour in Bordon, safer that way, never got any more free offers either.

    Frank.

Did you go to the nutmeg processing place, punkdoc?

I thought it smelt like Sunday mornings. Thats because every Sunday morning, my mum would make egg custard, liberally sprinkled with Nutmeg.  I'm not keen on nutmeg on top of a Pina Colada though..
