Nice pictures Pam though the bit we were in was the broken down Fort we rigged tents next to the vehicles not wanting to be over run by what ever haunted the very smelly ruins. Luckily it was midsummer and the weather like the people wonderful. Never went back though I believe it is now a museum and Hotel.
Met a lovely chap, at a road side food stall, got talking to him, and it turned out he owned a garden, that he had been building for 6 years, and he wanted to open to the public.
I went to visit his 2 acre garden, and have never seen anything like it, every known tropical plant, plus a few from England as well.
He took me round the garden, and we swapped stories, he was a lovely man.
I took a load of fliers he had made, and took them to a few local hotels.
Us gardeners seem the same the world over.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
In bed at 9.15 last night and slept almost unbroken until 8am.
Hubby confronted our next door neighbour yesterday in bar and said :
" you kept us awake all last night. Try it again and I'll break the door down and rip your f***in head off"
Seemed to have done the trick.
Steve, I couldn't possibly tell you where to find a holiday like this. I like you too much.
Lyn, I've been looking at the weather back home. Has it actually stopped raining at all, at any point, since we left? See you next week for a cuppa and a catch up. x
I take it you won't be looking for a bargain package holiday anymore then.
I can imagine G saying that, in his best accent as well
I think it must have stopped raining one afternoon last week because Roland got a job out. apart from that...no.
Hope you have a safe and uneventful journey home, see you next week. x

Pdoc - glad you had a lovely holiday. That garden sounds amazing. Hope you took a few pics to show us.
Thanks Wonky and Hazel, feeling OK today thank goodness as we are now preparing to decorate our bedroom. How are you getting on KEF? Where does all the junk at the top of the wardrobe come from?. I'm going to be ruthless this time - maybe.
Nearly time to start packing Hosta
Hope your neighbours are busy packing Wonky. Fingers crossed.
Enjoy your meal Verdun. Lovely pics Pam and I always enjoy your reminiscences Frank
I've been ill again today, thought I was fine but this afternoon had to go back to bed. The antibiotics finished Monday, not sure now if I need more, but I feel a bit better after my sleep. The awful taste is still up my nose though.
Didn't help that I drove Charlie 3/4s of the way to horse riding and then he got sick and I had to turn around and come straight back. He went to be for about 10 minutes and then he was fine.
Will have a lazy evening and hope I am better tomorrow.

I shall have to spend the afternoon knitting on the sofa to get over it

Hi all,
Wecome home Punkdoc, what a lovely story.
Nearly welcome home Hosta, sorry tale there.
