Yes Topbird - I know that GC and farm shop - they enticed one of OH's colleagues away to join them . That being said, I've bought some very good plants there at reasonable prices.
Welcome back Hosta
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I normally use an Asda bag for life in the way you describe, Edd
The hurricane's hitting the north and west of Scotland tomorrow night. We have severe weather warnings for here as well. Best nail everything down when I get home tomorrow after work.....
Hello Hosta. Nice to have you back
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Pdoc, good idea to pop round and ask if neighbours had eggs thrown at their windows too......sorry can't remember who said it,
Shopping trip to Brighton wasn't that succesful, but managed to get a couple of shirts/tops each for sons. No idea what to get OH or dils Think it will be a few bits each and some cheques for xmas this year.......unless they give me a list.
Sorry for your loss Pam, Topbird said it well and even now I take joy in the idea that my wonderful old Lab Phar would have loved gorgeous fluffy Flynn (avatar) as much as all his teddys . They're never replacements, but new friends
PDoc, you are in the wars what with S.A.D and now the egg throwing , don't do anything hasty and just remember your winter holiday will cheer you up
Lovely to have the house to yourselves again Pat
Yvie, isn't it weird how the body can flip up or move at speed when instinct overtakes us? Hope your bottom is not as sore as Hostas
Welcome back Hosta
BL, not sure what I missed, are you moving to UK or buying a second home? Either is super lovely for you
Nothing to report about my day, didn't get back from gym and shopping 'til late afternoon, one dog walk later, OH's dinner, mine and then general housework, it was too late to do much in the kitchen. Tomorrow I'm home all day
We are buying a second home, Wintersong. OH and I both love England but we moved to France for our previous spouses, who died some years ago. OH was trying to sell his house in France when he met me. The house is now sold, but he stayed here for me. For various reasons to do with my children in France and French inheritance laws I can't sell this house to go and live in England full time. So hence the cottage in Norfolk, which is where my grandfather came from. My grandmother was from Suffolk.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Pam sorry to hear about your pooch but lovely to have another, not disloyal at all, just new beginnings
PDic this is actually a criminal offence and I would defy report it. will probably go to local community Bobby who will handle it. It worked for us, our greenhouse was regularly smashed and the cops took it
Dove stay cosy and plenty fluids
Topbord, I agree with Dove wait till you catch up with Archers!!
Hosta welcome home.
Edd I found it very sad about Bill he actually came on to say goodbye! A loss indeed
for everyone else I have missed sorry. Hope you all ok
have been packing and battening down the hatches as hear it is to be wild when we away. Mind you it doesn't sound much different in Moscow!
Will be back to catch up on your stories next Tuesday
Fairy I have sent you a pm
