Fidget - what tough times for you and the family - be strong

Raining again here - will it ever stop? Treeman came today to take tops out of the dodgy trees, but it was too windy for him to do it safely, so we now have to wait again.  He has assured us that if it falls of its own accord it will be on the grass rather than the neighbours house, so feel a bit more reassured.  And no more gales forecast for the next couple of days.  But will still be happier when it is all sorted - now booked for next Friday.

looking forward to starting my seeds off - but will wait til mid Feb, and then start colonising the windowsills.

  • Morning all... Dark but no rain hurrah..... Ww thanks for the advice on seeds but most of the ones that came need a cold spell to germinate so gonna get them in tonight lol.... Although they reckon it will rain at 5 pm  so...... Well I need coffee to set me up at work my desk looks like a photocopier exploded on it ATM!!!!!!! Laters peeps

    Good Morning from this sleepyhead.

Sunny & blustery here. Temperature? not been out yet.

Might get a bit of weeding done today, in the areas I can reach without standing on the boggy grass/soil.

    Have a good day all.

Good morning all image blue skies here but a definite nip in the air - it's the coldest I've felt on my morning walk, even though I was a bit later than usual.

((hugs)) and good wishes to Fidget and all those who are having a tough time at the moment - positive thoughts winging your way - and if you need a winge, that's part of what we're here for image

KEF - i've just been thinking the same - which bits of my garden can i get at to tidy up, without treading on the soil. Think i have some i can tackle this weekend - provided the rain holds offimage

    Morning all.

Didn't rain yesterday and was quite mild 14°. Garden still quite wet so yesterday I attacked the hydrangea petiolaris and a rose Felicité Pérpetué which climb up a wall of the house to a balcony. I expect you'll say "wrong time of year", but I hadn't done them for a bit and there was loads of dead wood under the rose. It's difficult in summer when it's all covered in green leaves.

This was it in the summer. The wretched Virginia creeper pops up everywhere, not supposed to be there.
