    Good Morning all.

Dove, so glad to hear about improvement in your Pa.image

Last night didn't turn into the riot I expected, more chatting and eating than boozing. Had a laugh at some of the pictures that have been taken over the hols. Thanks for advice Stacey image

Gardeng get well soon. Put your feet up and have a well earned rest.

Today it's SM run and a clean around ready for friends and a meal tonight.

I think I'm getting a bit fed up of food and drink, but no doubt I'll be tucking in again tonight. Won't be getting on weight scales anytime soon image

    Have a good day all.

  • Morning all glad ur heads ok kef.... We are off to the GC today (hurrah) but I know it's going to be manic as it's first day open with a 50% sale on Xmas stuff!!!! We want a bunch of flowers for our neighbours to say thank you and if I can find a Xmas tree bag I will grab one..... Had the fright of my life last night, I went to dump the daily detritus in the compost heap, in the middle of the garden is the gate ( with Ivy and honeysuckle over the frame) just as I walked into it a bird flew at me hitting me in the face with its wing scared the beegeebies out if me.... I'm assuming it was an owl but don't know have had a check this morning and there is no injured bird so......

Hi Stacey, I bet that experience didn't do you any good. Have fun at the GC, bet you come back with a plant image

The birds are acting strangly here, a pair ? of collared doves are either mating or having one good fight on next door's roof, and the blackbirds are running around the lawn. I've checked and all have food & water so it's not attention seeking image

Suppose I should have some brekkie and make my shopping list..more booze? Well better make sure there is enough lol. I'll need to keep my eye on H as he sneaks things into the trolley...How many chocolate oranges can one man eat?

    Cue Verdun.

Morning all image I'm back from an amazing Christmas in Devon. Came back yesterday, following many delays on the train (flooding, fallen tree on the line, etc) was a wee bit tired so no updates!

Dove, glad all seems to be going well with your pa. Hope it continues image

Gardengirl, hope you are feeling better x

Stacey, what a shock that must have been. We get a start when birds fly into our office windows, must be ten times worse when you are the window! image

    Lily, enjoy your day!

Verd, I'm with you on the chocolate oranges . . . You can never have too many image

  • Hi Panda, glad you had a great xmas and you are back home safe and sound.image

Son and DIL here so see you all later have a lovely day everyone  image

  • Hi everyone, back home after lovely Chrissy with ILs. Now a Lego expert, must remember to amend my CV. Dreadful journey home. I used 6 different motorways on a journey of 150 miles! Sat nag and my indecision to blame. When I got home I realised that the village had a power cut from 8 to 8 on Christmas day!  A few lunches postponed or cooked on the wood burner, and open fires. Lucky for me, but not my friends and neighbours.

It's now time to think of our New Year resolutions. More exercise is a must for me so please feel free to nag me from time to time. Now enjoy the rest of the festivities and leftovers image

  • Woody - I'm going to pull on jogging bottoms and a fleece and go out for a brisk walk every morning before my shower, starting early in the New Year - you can come with me if you likeimage
